Created in the 18th century as a living painting, Painshill is a masterpiece of garden design and one of the finest examples of the English Landscape Movement. The garden invites you to walk around a work of art and discover dramatically placed garden buildings, reflective waters and stunning views. In this fascinating and insightful talk, garden historian Cherrill Sands will explore the concepts behind the garden, the genius of its creator Charles Hamilton and tell you more about how the garden came to be lost and then restored.

The talks starts at 6.30pm, doors open from 6.15pm.
