Hilton Marlton will discuss smaller vernacular buildings and the ways in which classical elements filtered down into the provinces. Understanding the significance of local materials and the seemingly unimportant subtle detailing of these structures is key to their survival – they are amongst the least protected and least understood of our heritage buildings.

The talk starts at 6.30pm, doors open from 6.15pm.
