Richmond has some of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in the London area. We shall start on Richmond Green, looking at the many Georgian buildings there, such as Maids of Honour Row, before proceeding down Palace Lane to Asgill House, which is still privately owned, but the owner has very kindly agreed to members of the Georgian Group visiting this Grade I listed Georgian villa. We shall then go along the river, pass Trumpeter’s House and Richmond Riverside and the 18th century Richmond Bridge and go up Richmond Hill to look at a number of Georgian Houses there such as Wick House and The Wick. We shall then return; pass St Elizabeth (RC) church built in 1819 and a number of other Georgian buildings, to the parish church of St Mary Magdelen with its Georgian buildings
