Help Safeguard Britain’s Georgian Heritage
The Georgian Group is partnering with Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers for a special fundraising auction to be held in January 2026. Proceeds will help us provide vital conservation advice, support the refurbishment of our historic Fitzroy Square headquarters and launch nationwide educational and outreach initiatives in celebration of our 90th anniversary in 2027.
The auction will be curated by Sworders Chairman, Guy Schooling, with donations generously provided by Georgian Group members, collectors and and institutions. Donors can choose whether to give either 50% or 100% of the sale proceeds to the Georgian Group with Sworders waiving all costs. There will be no vendor’s commission and no buyer’s premium.
We welcome donations of Georgian objects, silver, jewellery, clocks, small furniture, paintings, needlework, and Asian works of art – as well as events and experiences. Items need not be strictly from the Georgian period. Contributions that reflect its spirit and aesthetic are equally encouraged. Lots will go on public view in Sworders Cecil Court Gallery, London, ahead of the auction, with an invitational evening drinks reception for invited guests of both the Georgian Group and Sworders Auctioneers.
Deadline for entries: 7 November 2025
If you would like to consign, please send details and images directly to:
