Great West End houses,  like Devonshire House,  Chesterfield House and Lansdowne House,   remained at the heart of British social life throughout the 19th century and into the 20th.   Steven Brindle explores how these and other Georgian houses were redecorated and adapted to suit late-Victorian and Edwardian tastes and needs,  through the remarkable photographs taken by Bedford Lemere & Company.   The talk is based on his new book,  London –  Lost Interiors,  published in November 2024 by Atlantic Publishing.

The talk starts at 6.30pm, doors open from 6.15pm.
