Good afternoon,
do you have any specific information on internal doors? Panelling, colours, features? How can I recognize an original Georgian internal door for more important rooms in the house?
In addition to our Doors leaflet, you may also want to look at our leaflet on Paint Colour: https://georgiangroup.org.uk/2018/05/22/paint-colour/. You may also wish to consult The Georgian Group Book of the Georgian House by Steven Parissien.
There is often a hierarchy of doors in Georgian houses, materials and decoration reflecting status, from very plain panelled doors, painted pine, to those made of exotic woods such as mahogany, with enriched mouldings. Different sides of the same door can even be treated differently depending on their place and function.
