In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth, and of course, in eager preparation for the Young Georgians’ annual Summer Ball, the sewists of ‘SPOOLS OF WAR Sartorials’ present a unique evening workshop on Regency style and dressing – where no-one leaves empty handed!

Whether you are a seasoned connoisseur with a passion for fashion plates, or if you’re just dipping your toe into Georgian history and need a place to start building that all important Regency ensemble, then this is the place for you!

The evening includes a light-hearted lecture on Regency fashion (accompanied by refreshments), followed by a guided practical on how to make your own Regency reticule (draw-string purse) or decorative gentleman’s cuff.

Patterns, materials, tools and wine are all provided. So grab a glass, select your fabric of choice and roll up those puff-sleeves for an evening of costumed creativity
