The Georgian Group is holding a series of lectures which will explore aspects of the Georgian architecture of a number of towns and cities in the context of their social and economic history. This lecture will focus on Oxford.

Dr Geoffrey Tyack is an architectural historian and Fellow of Kellogg College, University of Oxford, whose main academic interests are in British and European architectural history, especially from the 18th–20th century, and the history of urban planning since the Renaissance. He is the Editor of the Georgian Group Journal.

This lecture forms part of the Six Georgian Cities lecture series. For information on the series as a whole, click here. Doors open 6pm, lecture starts 6.30pm (wine included with ticket). Non-members welcome.
