Sandridge Park, Stoke Gabriel, in the South Hams area of south Devon, is a villa rustica built in c.1804 by John Nash for the Dowager Lady Ashburton. Set high above the banks of the River Dart, the house and its setting exemplify the ideas of the architectural Picturesque of which Nash was a leading exponent. On this afternoon visit, which starts at 2pm and will last for 2-3 hours, members are invited for a tour of the house, to walk in the grounds and to finish the afternoon with a Devonshire cream tea.
